Health & Safety

Our first priority in all cases is the health and safety of the young people attending our programmes. To ensure that we maintain the highest standards of safety, we have put in place policies and procedures which exceed statutory requirements.

  • All our delivery partner centres are licensed by the AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority). Leafy carries out regular inspections and reviews to ensure that our delivery partners meet our required standards.
  • All activities undertaken are assessed for risks and hazards on an ongoing basis. Risk assessments are not viewed as 'static documents' but as a continuous process which must take into account such things as changing weather conditions, levels of individual ability and the comfort of participants at any given time.
  • All Leafy Education Officers are trained and qualified in First Aid. A designated First Aid Officer is on call 24 hours.
  • All Leafy staff having contact with children are CRB checked and we have a designated Child Protection Officer whose responsibility it is to ensure that all staff are trained in, and aware of our procedures for safeguarding children. Please review our Child Protection Policy for further details.
  • Our programmes are covered by comprehensive public liability insurance.

Please feel free to contact us for further details at admin@leafy.org.uk or at the address at the bottom of this page.
